Japanese culture

Japanese culture has influenced which has evolved from Asia, Europe and North America. This has influenced the directors and writers of the japanese anime. However, they try to make their anime appeal to teenagers. We see this by how the characters dress but also their appearances. The anime highlights this culture by the language that they speak which is Japanese.

These are the different types of flowers and the arrangement of flowers that i am looking at to include in our opening of our thriller movie. The flowers that have the black background can symbolise to the viewer that the thriller has some sort of twist to it because the black backing could portray the twist very subtle.

Bunches hair style

I like this type of hair style because is it associated with school girls which would go perfectly with the theme of our story line. It also represents girls as sweet and innocent.

Thriller movie opening presentation

Mirai Nikki shot the use of key lighting and camera angles.

This picture is taken from a Japanese anime called Mirai Nikki this film is one of the inspirations to our thriller story line. I chose to post this picture because i liked how the director used lighting in order to emphasise the characters facial expressions. In this extreme close up shot the director uses key lighting on the characters faces. However, the boys face is more emphasised than the girls face by the use of lighting. But in contrast to this the boys eyes are less prominent than the girls eyes. The faces of the characters are highlighted to the viewer in order to make then anticipate what has scared the characters.

I personally like this type of setting for the opening to our thriller due it  being a contrast and complementing  what actually happens within  our thriller. Because waterfalls are known to be peaceful but on the other hand in the opening the viewer sees that our film is actually a thriller film. This is a picture of the waterfall in Kelsey park which me and Rayanne intend to film parts of our opening.

Treatment - Influences 2

Here is another influence to my thriller opening. This is because it has an extreme over exposure of colour indicate's to a viewer that the film isn't a thriller. However, when the viewer continues watching they realise the codes and conventions of the film.

Treatment - Influence 1

This opening is an influence to our thriller opening. Because of the over exposure of colour that contrast what is occurring in the opening. The music complements the thriller by allowing the audience to understand what is occurring in the opening.
